Enjoy the experience of a dilapidated building... for $200 per night. But wait, act now and get shady characters (not under the control of the hotel, I realize that) and outside and inside room doors that have to be pulled to latch. So the outer door to the hallway was always open.
Marvel at the hastily installed shoring that hopefully supports the concrete, chipped paint walkways... This place is the epitome of run down. It looks like it should be condemned - and it's really awful. 2 stars because the room I got wasn't that bad, and the front desk staff was friendly. Housekeeping was loud. They could get another star if this place was $60 per night, but it's not - $200 per night to see peeling wallpaper, aluminum carpet joint strips not bolted to the floor, rotten wood, and mud. See the pictures... It's not pleasant outside the room (which could be picked apart at that price point, but no sense in piling on).
I accidentally showed up at the other Residence Inn because I didn't pay attention to where I booked, and they thought this one had been closed. That should have told me something...
The area is generally blighted, and nearby hotels in the immediate vicinity are bad (unless you like to experience the opioid epidemic up close and personal). Do yourself a favor and find a hotel 5 miles away in any direction. I can't imagine this place will be open much longer.
There is a Cracker Barrel next door that can be walked to. (I had to say something nice).
In short, find another hotel. This is a disgrace to Marriott. (The nearby Holiday Inn express is a disgrace to IHG, so it seems to be the general area).
Getting to and from this hotel is easy. Recently, my wife and I have started making regular trips there to enjoy an evening without the kids. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Thanks to their rewarding loyalty program, we frequently receive substantial savings. Late checkout is a perk, and we've never had an issue taking advantage of it. Without a shadow of a doubt, we shall maintain our visits.
I would stay here again, but not for the price we paid. The place is in need of a lot of maintenance. The rooms were clean, thankfully. It has a lot of potential if they give it some TLC. We walked to the nearby steakhouse for dinner (8min) and the next day we walked to Cracker Barrel for lunch (3min). The kids swam in the pool, but the hot tub looked real grungy so they avoided that. Breakfast was typical for a Residence Inn, and we were grateful for that.
It was nice and clean hotel. They only problem is they don¿t have any Spanish channel.
Never got a upgrade even tho I'm a titanium member or welcome gift also has to deal wit cops there everyday for other guests and also parties and noise and domestics near me and window in living room would t lock and on first floor and and they won't take some debit cards or credit and also they rude ar desk other than the night person the female and kid and at breakfast the guy the manager def rude and mold
Love this place. The rooms are amazing. I really love that the bedroom is seperate from the kitchen n sitting area. The flow of the room us perfect n allows the room to feel spacious. A little sitting area to eat your meals and the patio has you forgetting your at a hotel. & the free breakfast is the best I've had. So many options it's hard to choose. I always grab extra to snack throughout the day. The staff is friendly n pleasant to deal with. This place even has a sport court & a seasonal pool. If you shop around you can eve get an affordable deal. Best Hotel & very convenient directly next to a Mobile, Cracker Barrel & the highway.
I only have two positive Feedbacks. The rooms are spacious and there is actually hot water in the shower.
Breakfast is bad. Charming to have breakfast with a small waterfall coming from the leaky roof tho. Room cleaning is at best intermittent. Gym is small, worn and dirty. Wi-Fi is horrendously unstable. I’ve had far better Wi-Fi service in developing countries. The place is worn down. Sound insulation is very poor, etc etc.
In one of my stays I had a room that reeked of stale bacon! With 4 air conditioners outside my bedroom window. That was nice…
Two nights in a clean comfortable well equipped two bedroom suite with kitchen. Absolutely no issues with the the room at all. Great water pressure in both bathrooms. Comfy beds and furniture. The breakfast was adequate, typical to what I expect at a Residence Inn. The building exterior could use a bit of love but that didn’t adversely affect our stay in the slightest. I imagine exterior maintenance was something that had to be postponed due to lost revenue during the lockdown.
